Conversely, a pillow that is too low will not stabilize your head and put strain on your neck and shoulders. Generally, the ideal sleeping position is when you lie on your back and your head is tilted at an angle of 10 to 15 degrees from your neck to your head, and your chin is about 0 to 5 degrees lower than your forehead .
